The Live Markup Assist adds the ability to import a PDF or a file from another application and add a new or changed element from the imported file directly to your drawing, rather than having to re-start the drawing.
I’m most excited about the Live Markup Assist. I’ve been fiddling with it a bit to get it working for importing PDF’s, but it’s been very challenging to get it working on my machine. I’ve got Windows 10 on my desktop, and my laptop is on Win 7.
I’ve also found that the easiest way to get it working is to download a copy of the PDF file from somewhere, and import that. You can get a copy of the Markup Assist Demo PDF here:
Then import that file. The default method in the UI is to open an external program and import the PDF, but it looks like that is the only method of import in the Markup Assist. I also tried opening the PDF from inside the file browser, but that didn’t work.
