Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Autodesk has produced a series of AutoCAD editions since 1986. Each new edition has introduced new features, improved the performance of existing features, and added compatibility with 3D features such as 3D solids and surfaces. In April 2011, Autodesk discontinued the development of AutoCAD as a desktop application. The last version to be available as a stand-alone product was AutoCAD 2013, released in September 2011. Autodesk has not discontinued the development of AutoCAD as a mobile app, or of its web applications.
Early versions of AutoCAD were for Windows-based machines. AutoCAD 2006 was the first version available on Mac OS X. At one time, a GIS and business-oriented version of AutoCAD was available as a stand-alone package (the GIS version was based on AutoCAD R14), but this version was discontinued.
AutoCAD as a modern app
AutoCAD was among the first CAD applications to be released as a modern app, meaning it can be used without requiring a computer with a graphics card. Because of this, AutoCAD can be used on a variety of mobile devices and personal computers. This modern app allows users to easily import and manipulate 2D drawing data from images and vector data as well as create their own 3D models. They can also share their work to a cloud-based storage solution such as Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive.
AutoCAD 2010, released in October 2009, was one of the first desktop CAD applications to use a modern app to handle the on-screen 2D drawing. It was the first CAD app that could import shapefiles and provide native topology and surface modeling. It was the first AutoCAD app to use ray tracing for efficient rendering. In AutoCAD 2011, the app received a completely new user interface, with tools and data in separate panels.
In 2011, Autodesk discontinued development of the AutoCAD editor in AutoCAD 2009 and 2011. New features in the 2010 release did not require editing, and most of the features of the 2009 release were incorporated into the 2010 release. The 2010 release also included a simplified drawing workspace with user preferences. It was the last AutoCAD release to be offered as a stand-alone app.
AutoCAD 2013 was the first version to be available as a modern app. This release was aimed

AutoCAD uses an XML-based database, called the Metadata Store, to hold information about objects. This is used for storing information about the object data such as its colour, linetype, and other user-editable data.
AutoCAD’s use of Metadata Store is similar to Sibelius and Finale. In addition, if the user creates a large drawing, the drawing is broken into sections for more efficient storage in the Metadata Store.
AutoCAD has a server component which allows other applications to interact with AutoCAD. Autodesk Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D modeling and design application for architects, interior designers, and engineers that allows access to AutoCAD using WebGL or a Web browser, making it accessible from any device. Fusion 360 can be integrated with AutoCAD.
AutoCAD has an online feature called Cloud App Center, which includes a number of cloud-based applications for companies. The applications are typically cloud-based, allowing Autodesk to update the applications more frequently. In addition, the software runs on App Inventor, a web-based programming language used to create and test concepts for iPhone, Android, and Web apps.
Autodesk for AutoCAD was launched in 1998. The first version of AutoCAD included 15 new drawing features. It was not available as a subscription service at that time. At the time, the market for CAD software was dominated by the largest players, such as AutoDesk, MicroStation, CADjet, SolidWorks and Dassault Systemes, but was seeing the growth of smaller players such as ArchiCAD, CorelDRAW, Heidelberg-CAD and Vistalogic. This competition led Autodesk to develop a plan to promote AutoCAD as a business-to-business (B2B) and B2C solution.
In December 1999, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2000, which was the first version to be available as a subscription. At that time, AutoDesk also released AutoCAD LT. This allowed companies to license a less expensive version of AutoCAD that only had the functionality for 2D drawing. In March 2000, AutoCAD 2000 was licensed for $15,000 for the first year and $50,000 per year thereafter. AutoDesk created a business-to-consumer (B2C) version, AutoCAD 2001. The B2C version of AutoCAD 2001

My Raspberry Pi 3 refuses to boot when using an SD card
I have a Raspberry Pi 3 B (model name B+, model number 3) and I’m trying to install and run Ubuntu using the following steps:
Add Raspbian Stretch Lite to SD card.
Copy Raspbian Stretch Lite to SD card.
Format the SD card.
Boot Pi from the SD card.
The problem is that when I boot the Pi from the SD card, it will run for about 15 seconds then a black screen appears.
Why is that?
After some research I found the cause.
Before booting from the SD card, there should be a partition created for the bootloader. In my case, the first partition is the boot partition. The partition also has to be of FAT32.
After booting from the SD card, there should be a few partitions:
– W95 FAT32 boot partition.
– FAT32 partition for Raspberry Pi OS.
– Filesystems like ext4, NTFS, and ext2fs
The cause of my problem is that there is no FAT32 partition.
So, if the first partition is not the boot partition, then the Pi cannot boot from the SD card.
I fixed this problem using the following steps:
Change the first partition to be a FAT32 partition.
Create a FAT32 partition.
Boot from the SD card.
The SD card should be recognized correctly.
I fixed the problem and now my Pi is running fine.
